Jaguars Notebook: Colvin plays despite 'freak' ankle injury

NASHVILLE, TENN. | Since he didn’t appear on the injury report during the week, the sight of Jaguars cornerback Aaron Colvin conferring on the field at Nissan Stadium Sunday morning with general manager Dave Caldwell, coach Gus Bradley and the team’s medical staff was surprising.

Colvin explained after the Jaguars’ 42-39 loss to the Tennessee Titans that he played through an ankle injury that surfaced Saturday night at the team hotel.

“It was a freak accident,” he said. “I was getting stretched [Saturday] like always and did a little exercise and I felt it.
