Among the Jaguars’ 71 offensive plays in Sunday’s loss to San Diego were only 13 called rushes. Those plays gained 69 yards.
Running back T.J. Yeldon carried a season-low nine times for 36 yards (21 came on one carry).
So did the Jaguars get away from their running game or did they not make it a part of their plan in the first place?
“To give [Yeldon] the ball more, to give the running backs the ball a little bit more – [I] can see the advantage of that,” coach Gus Bradley said Monday. “When you can run the ball more, it opens up the [play-action] and it allows for more explosive passes.
