HOUSTON | Blake Bortles almost pulled off the rare quarterback double in the Jaguars’ 30-6 season-ending loss to the Houston Texans Sunday: Leading the NFL in touchdown passes and interceptions. But he had to settle for one of the titles (the wrong one).
Bortles threw two interceptions and finished the season with 18, one ahead of Denver’s Peyton Manning, who hadn’t played since Nov. 15 until he returned on Sunday.
Bortles finished with 35 touchdown passes, one behind New England’s Tom Brady. Both players failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this year.
