Jaguars notebook: Beachum released from hospital; playing status uncertain

Beachum out of hospital

Jaguars left tackle Kelvin Beachum was released from a San Diego hospital on Monday, a day after suffering a concussion in a 38-14 loss to the Chargers.

Beachum was scheduled to fly back to Jacksonville on Monday. His status for Sunday’s game against visiting Baltimore is uncertain, as he is in the NFL’s concussion return-to-play protocol.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley did not offer a plan on what the Jaguars would do if Beachum can’t play. The most likely option would be to move left guard Luke Joeckel back to his old spot and possibly have Tyler Shatley fill in at left guard.
