When the Jaguars’ front office went to work to overhaul the defense during free agency, nose tackle Roy Miller noticed the moves and approved with confidence.
As training camp has progressed and the preseason gotten underway, Miller has observed as some of the young players begin to learn from their mistakes and make more plays as their talent has taken over.
And when the regular season begins Sept. 11 against the Green Bay Packers, Miller wants to watch the rebuilt defense perform from the sideline as much as possible.
Set to begin his eighth year in the league, Miller recognizes that fewer snaps will likely mean an improved unit.
