Jaguars' Neal Sterling anxious to keep learning at tight end during training camp

During an offseason transition from receiver to tight end that has been equal parts frustrating and exhilarating, Neal Sterling has had plenty to learn.

What’s the defensive front showing?

What about the secondary?

Is this the right technique for this block?

Is this the correct footwork?

But as the Jaguars’ former seventh-round pick endured a months-long crash course on the tight end position, another lesson he has been forced to learn is how to remain patient.

“Sometimes, I have to get that through my head,” Sterling said after a June minicamp practice.

It was during the workout Sterling showcased his receiving ability (“That’s the one thing I’m good at still,” he half-joked) by drawing multiple flags for pass interference.
