Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone named veteran quarterback Nick Foles the team’s starting quarterback at his Tuesday press conference. Initially, Marrone said he would take the week and think about it while the players were on the bye week, but it seemed like an easy decision after Gardner Minshew II’s day against the Houston Texans in London.
Foles was signed in the offseason to be the Jaguars guy at the quarterback going forward, to the tune of $88 million. Unfortunately for the Jaguars, Foles broke his clavicle taking a hit on a touchdown pass in the 11th play of the 2019 season and was sent to injured reserve.
