Asked Thursday after mandatory minicamp wrapped up what he learned about the Jaguars during the offseason program, general manager Dave Caldwell complimented the players’ want-to level.
“I learned they’re a highly motivated team and they work their butts off — from the time they showed up, they were in shape, hit the ground running and were focused,” Caldwell said. “They’re really competitive and I think we have a smart team.”
Highly motivated: The returning players want to atone for last year’s 3-13 record, the newcomers are fueled to prove they were worthy of their big free agent contracts or draft status.
