Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that new Jaguars LT Branden Albert was not present for the team’s first meeting and is holding out for a new contract.
This, obviously, isn’t a great start to Albert’s stint with the Jaguars.
Jacksonville agreed to send a 2018 seventh-round pick to the Dolphins in return for Albert and the two teams also completed a separate trade for TE Julius Thomas soon after.
The two parties were expected to work on a new contract after completing a trade, but there has been any reported progress this offseason.
