Jaguars LEO Dante Fowler out for season with ACL injury

The Jaguars are expected to be without Dante Fowler for the 2015 season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a serious blow as No. 3 overall pick Dante Fowler suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the first day of rookie mini-camps on Friday afternoon.

According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, Fowler was hurt in 11-on-11 drills. He was holding his left knee. The season-ending nature of the injury is expected by the Jaguars.

Fowler was drafted No. 3 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft. This was his first organized team activity with the Jaguars. He is the second of three first-round picks by general manager Dave Caldwell to suffer a season-ending injury during their rookie season, with Luke Joeckel going out for the year in 2012.
