Jaguars outside linebacker Telvin Smith, whose 128 tackles lead the team and are third in the NFL , didn’t practice today because of right shoulder and left ring finger injuries.
Now in his second season, it was the first regular season workout Smith has missed and the first time he’s appeared on the injury report.
Smith said both injuries occurred on the same play, when he dove to push the Falcons’ Jones out of bounds after a 12-yard catch on third-and-11 with 4:47 remaining in the third quarter.
Smith’s arm was in a sling as he sat at his locker.
