Jaguars LB Paul Posluszny broke right hand in loss to Titans

The reeling Jaguars’ defense sustained another setback today when the team revealed that middle linebacker Paul Posluszny sustained a broken right hand in Sunday’s loss to Tennessee.

The team said today they are “continuing to evaluate injury management options,” for Posluszny and did not rule him out for the year.

Coach Gus Bradley said if Posluszny can’t play, the Jaguars will use Jordan Tripp at middle linebacker. Tripp took over at strong-side linebacker yesterday for a benched Thurston Armbrister.

Bradley said Armbrister would start at the strong-side spot if Dan Skuta (groin) can’t play.

If he’s done, it marks the second straight season that has ended early for Posluszny; he missed the second half of 2014 with a torn chest muscle.
