Nothing generates attention in non-padded practices like great catches and interceptions.
The latter is why rookie free safety Jarrod Wilson jumped onto the radar late in the off-season program.
Wilson, an undrafted rookie from Michigan, had an interception in both of the Jaguars’ mini-camp practices.
“He’s very sharp,” defensive coordinator Todd Wash said. “He came in, he learned the package really well and he put himself in position to make a lot of plays in the middle of the field. It’s good to see.”
Wash said the Jaguars’ coaches keep “Ball Aware Player” standings to track interceptions and pass break-ups and Wilson led the team since his arrival.
