NASHVILLE, TENN. | What does a defensive-minded head coach sound like when he’s run out of solutions about that part of the team?
This was Gus Bradley after the Jaguars’ defense was gashed by the usually woeful Tennessee Titans offense in a 42-39 loss Sunday.
“When we tried to put some extra guys in coverage, that didn’t’ work. When we tried to apply extra guys in the rush, that wasn’t successful.”
And …
“To be honest, we tried everything.”
Uh-oh.
Forty-two games into his tenure, Bradley’s defense isn’t any better. The talent is supposedly improved and more plentiful, but the results are the same.
