Jaguars In Review: Look at the starters against Jets

Every time it’s available, the Jaguars will take the match-up provided them on their opening drive Thursday against the Jets.

The Jaguars had moved 61 yards and faced a second-and-goal from the 9-yard line.

Receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns and tight end Marcedes Lewis lined up to the right side. Tight end Julius Thomas was split out wide left against strong safety Calvin Pryor.

One-on-one coverage against Thomas: Good.

One-on-one coverage against Thomas with a defensive back and the free safety shaded to the other side of the field: Great.

“It was perfect,” quarterback Blake Bortles said.
