The next phase in the Help Blake Bortles Plan went into action for the Jaguars on Friday night in the second and third rounds of the NFL Draft.
Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell began the night by giving his second-year quarterback the hope for a strong running game. The Jaguars took the third running back off the board, selecting Alabama’s T.J. Yeldon with the 36th-overall pick. In the third round, the Jaguars upgraded the interior of their offensive line, taking South Carolina left guard A.J. Cann at No. 67.
Caldwell went with Yeldon and Cann after drafting Florida defensive end Dante Fowler with the third pick on Thursday.
