FIRST DOWN: CONFIDENCE IN WILSON
Strong safety Johnathan Cyprien (knee/triceps) didn’t practice Wednesday but did work Thursday. If he’s unavailable to start or finish Sunday’s game against Baltimore, the Jaguars would turn to rookie Jarrod Wilson.
Wilson was signed as an undrafted free agent from Michigan and worked during OTAs and the early part of training camp at free safety. But he showed enough that the Jaguars had him learn strong safety and he beat out Josh Evans for a roster spot.
Wilson played six snaps against San Diego, including some in the first half in a goal-line package.
