The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that the team’s executive vice-president of football operations, Tom Coughlin, has been relieved of his duties.
The news comes after it was announced on Monday through the NFLPA that 25 percent of all grievances filed by players have come from the Jaguars and that one player, in particular, had been fined $700,000 in 2018 for not rehabbing an injury that was deemed “mandatory” during the voluntary offseason program.
A joint arbitrator determined the Jaguars could not fine the player, who turned out to be Dante Fowler, who confirmed it was him through his Twitter account this week.
