Jaguars 'expect' to have new coordinator hired by Monday

Although nothing official was announced Wednesday, a source told the Times-Union the Jaguars “expect” to have a new defensive coordinator in place by the time the coaching staff leaves for the Senior Bowl on Monday.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley has interviewed three outside candidates: Defensive back coaches Marquand Manuel (Atlanta) and Lou Anarumo (Miami) and long-time NFL coach Jim Schwartz. Schwartz was hired to run the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense.

The leading candidate remains current Jaguars defensive line coach/run-game coordinator Todd Wash.
