The Jaguars addressed their pass rush in the third round tonight with the addition of Maryland’s Yannick Ngakoue with the 69 th pick.
Ngakoue, who had a pre-draft visit to the Jaguars, finished his career with 21.5 sacks in three years for the Terrapins.
Ngakoue was listed at 6-foot-2 and 255 pounds last year at Maryland. He was a four-star recruit out of high school in Bowie, Md.
Ngakoue had seasons of two, six and 13.5 sacks.
The Jaguars came up empty with Olivier Vernon in free agency and needed to add depth behind Dante Fowler.
