Jaguars defense roasted by Brees, Cooks in 38-27 loss

NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Saints offense, despite missing two starters, had its way with the Jacksonville Jaguars defense in a 38-27 shootout in Week 16.

The Saints were forced to punt just twice on Sunday as they found ways to score throughout the game. Quarterback Drew Brees came into the contest with a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, but was sensational as he led the offense on six scoring drives.

Making the Jaguars defense look incompetent and unprepared, Brees completed 25-of-36 passes for 412 passing yards and three touchdowns, despite the painful foot injury.
