The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Friday that Dante Fowler Jr., the fourth-year player from the University of Florida has been suspended by the NFL for the first game of the season for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. Jacksonville’s website, Jaguars.com released a statement from Tom Coughlin, the team’s Executive Vice-President of Football Operations.
“We were informed today of Dante’s one-game suspension and we will abide by the league’s ruling. We’ll work to get Dante ready to play when he is able to return,” Coughlin said.
