Jaguars cut ties with underachieving veteran and other cutdown day predictions

After finishing 4-13 last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars have spent the past few months revamping the roster. Granted, teams look different every year because of the salary cap, but the Jags have undergone a bigger overhaul than usual because they hired Liam Coen as the head coach and James Gladstone as the general manager early in 2025.

Together, the duo cut ties with several underachieving veterans and brought in intangible-rich players who can help turn things around. Now, their biggest task, putting together the best possible 53-man roster, lies ahead.

While plenty of roster spots are already earmarked for players such as Trevor Lawrence or pass rusher Josh Hines-Allen, Coen and Gladstone will ultimately make a surprise cut or two.
