Jaguars cornerback Prince Amukamara didn’t get the ball. But, he sent a message.
The secondary is taking the intensity up this season.
Tight end Marcedes Lewis caught a touchdown pass against the defense in practice and went to go dunk the ball over the cross bar. From 30 yards away, Amukamara went charging in pursuit of Lewis.
He was 2 feet short. Lewis dunked the ball, but Amukamara made his point.
He’s been doing it all training camp -- if not with Lewis, then receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns.
“Guys younger than me, they respond to enthusiasm and energy,” Amukamara said.
