EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey’s debut will have to wait another week after the Jaguars announced they were holding him out of tonight’s preseason lid-lifter against the Jets.
The Jaguars labeled Ramsey’s absence as precautionary.
A team source said if the Jaguars were playing a regular season game tonight, Ramsey would be in uniform.
Ramsey, the fifth overall pick in April’s draft, had knee surgery May 24, but has not missed a practice in training camp.
Also sitting out is free safety Tashaun Gipson. He has not missed a camp practice because of injury.
