Jaguars beef up offensive line with 3rd round pick

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars decided to add some beef to its offensive line with its pick in the third round of the NFL Draft on Friday.

The Jaguars added its third player from the SEC in the 2015 draft by selecting offensive guard A.J. Cann from South Carolina.

The 6-foot-4 311-pound linemen will be expected to protect franchise quarterback Blake Bortles after the Jaguars gave up 71 sacks last season, worst in the league.

Cann, who is expected to play on the left side, will compete with last year's third round pick Brandon Linder and Zane Beadles, who signed a 5 year, $30,000,000 contract last season, for playing time at the position.
