As expected, the interest in Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson has started to heat up the week the 2018 NFL free agency period begins. It was reported earlier that as many as five teams, not including the Jaguars, were interested in signing the former Pro Bowl wide receiver. A little nugget from Peter Schrager on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football might give some hope to fans hoping to retain Robinson.
The Jaguars did free up some cap room in releasing Chris Ivory and the way Blake Bortles new contract is structured, so if they do plan to sign Robinson to a long-term deal or even a one-year type deal to show he’s healthy, they have plenty of room to do so.
