Jags receiver Allen Robinson may get spot in Pro Bowl

Thirteen touchdown catches wasn’t enough for Jaguars receiver Allen Robinson to be named to the Pro Bowl … yet.

Robinson was designated Tuesday night as a first alternate for the Jan. 31 game, meaning he’s bound for Hawaii if one of the eight receivers withdraws because of injury or their team is playing in the Super Bowl.

Last year, five of the eight original receivers dropped out.

If Robinson is named, he will be the first Jaguars offensive player in four years (running back Maurice Jones-Drew) and the first Jaguars receiver in 14 years (Jimmy Smith) to participate.
