Jags not giving up on Poz, who had surgery on broken hand

The Jaguars are holding out hope that Pro Bowl middle linebacker Paul Posluszny will be able to play Sunday, just five days removed from surgery.

The team announced on Wednesday that the nine-year veteran had surgery to fix his fractured right hand on Tuesday in Philadelphia. The Jaguars (4-8) aren’t certain yet whether Posluszny will be able to play Sunday against AFC South co-leader Indianapolis (6-6) at EverBank Field.

“He had surgery, so he’ll come back and now we’re just waiting to see about his availability,” Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said. “We do know that if he played, he would play with a cast on.
