Just like that, the Jacksonville Jaguars find their playoffs hope on life-support following a brutal 31-25 loss to the San Diego Chargers this past Sunday. Despite a 6-game losing streak that had them primed for one of the top picks in the upcoming draft, the Chargers came into Jacksonville with plenty of confidence and they managed to do whatever they wanted to a helpless Jaguar defense.
For the 2nd time in as many seasons, head coach Gus Bradley had no answer for the masterful play of quarterback Philip Rivers. Rarely pressured into throwing an errant pass, Rivers had plenty of time throughout the game to find open receivers – and they were wide open at times.
