A few years ago when covering the studs and duds of the Jacksonville Jaguars, it was difficult to find players who could be called studs. Many of them were simply faltering, struggling to stay afloat at the NFL level.
This was through no fault of their own. General manager David Caldwell knew that he was throwing rookies and unproven veterans into the fire as he tore down the rotted foundation laid by his predecessor.
Now, three years later, there are plenty of players who are capable of impressing on any given day. We’ll go through some of those guys here as we look at five studs from the Preseason Week 1 13-17 loss to the New York Jets.
