Despite some very good individual performances, the Jacksonville Jaguars reaffirmed their status as a young and inconsistent football team in a 23-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
The final drive was a microcosm of the Jaguars’ overall performance this season. Under 2 minutes left and down 6 points with a chance to drive and win the game, Nick Marshall started it off with a boneheaded decision to return the kickoff from deep in the endzone, making it barely past the 10 yard line. Bortles made a few nice throws down the field before taking a bad sack that put the Jaguars at 3rd and 10 around midfield.
