I’ve seen plenty of mock drafts recently that have the Jacksonville Jaguars taking a wide receiver with their first pick – ninth overall in April.
As Josh Edwards of CBS Sports wrote after he mocked Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to Jacksonville, “DJ Chark Jr. had a great season for Jacksonville but they need more production from the position. Jeudy has the highest floor of any wide receiver in this draft class. His attention to detail is much further along than most of his peers.”
I like the thinking, but after watching this team since OTAs, that kind of “reach” can happen for another team.
