The Jacksonville Jaguars finally made the move to keep defensive end Yannick Ngakoue on the team, at least for the time being.
The team announced they had placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Ngakoue that will pay him $19.3M for the coming season. This decision gives the front office time to work out a long-term deal, however, Ngakoue has stated through his Twitter account he does not wish to play in black and teal for an extended period of time.
The Jaguars have plenty of decisions to make in the upcoming next few days as free agency becomes a reality on March 18.
