The Jacksonville Jaguars are reportedly signing cornerback Xavier Crawford, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Crawford most recently played for the Chicago Bears from December 2019 through the 2021 season. While in Chicago, Crawford was coached by Deshea Townsend, who was the Bears’ secondary coach at the time, and has since been hired as Jacksonville’s passing game coordinator and cornerbacks coach.
During the 2021 season, Crawford recorded a career-high 15 tackles, including 11 solo tackles, while playing defense and special teams in 13 games for the Bears (including two starts).
