Jacksonville Jaguars Bye Week: Friday Fact or Fiction

More From Editorials

Seven games into the 2015 NFL regular season, the Jacksonville Jaguars sit at 2-5 but only one game back of the AFC South lead. If you had told me the latter would be true at the beginning of the season, I would have been thrilled. The fact preceding it (the 2-5 record) isn’t nearly as encouraging, but nonetheless there is still hope for the season.

Still, everything needs to be analyzed in context and it’s hard not to be disappointed in where the Jaguars currently sit in the win-loss column. At the very least, the Jaguars should be 3-4 (Jason Myers making 1 of 2 game-winning field goals against the Indianapolis Colts) or even 4-3 (if the Jaguars held on to one of two late second half leads against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Houston Texans).
