The speculation that the Jacksonville Jaguars will invest in a high-round running back during the 2017 NFL Draft is always going to remain common until the draft finally rolls around. The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine further added to that excitement.
There is not secret that the Jaguars are going to need to address the running game in the 2017 NFL Draft and 2017 free agency, but the primary question is whether that investment should be at offensive line primarily or serious capital should be pushed to the running back position.
With big-name running backs hitting the draft, it seems more probable that the Jags look that way to grab a young player and address the offensive line during free agency.
