2016 has been almost all about defense thus far. The Jacksonville Jaguars brought in free safety Tashaun Gipson, cornerback Prince Amukamara, and defensive lineman Malik Jackson to shore up serious deficiencies on that side of the ball.
But the work is far from over.
If the Jaguars really want to make sure they can be more competitive in 2016, they’ll need to upgrade their defense further with young talent from the 2016 NFL Draft. That has been the plan throughout the offseason and as the draft is less than a month away, it’s time to examine just how that may play out.
