Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has made tremendous strides in his second season.
He has room to make more, especially on third down.
Bortles has excelled throwing downfield to second-year receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns.
The Jaguars rank 11th in passing offense, 20 spots higher than where they finished last season.
However, the offense has struggled on third down. The Jaguars rank 19th, converting 37 percent. Some of that certainly falls on the running game.
Still, Bortles is a large part of the problem. He has completed 35 of 77 passes on third down, a 45.
