Gus Bradley puts no timetable on Jaguars defensive coordinator search

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley’s search for a new defensive started Tuesday night with the same parameters as last year’s offensive coordinator pursuit: Don’t set a timetable, explore every option and call around the NFL to solicit suggestions and vet potential candidates.

Bradley fired long-time friend Bob Babich after the Jaguars finished 31st in points allowed per game (28) and said during a conference call Wednesday he will consider coaches within and outside of the organization.

“It’s important that we open it up and make sure we really compete in this avenue, visit with people, talk to people and try to find out what candidates are available and make sure it’s a good fit,” Bradley said.
