Jaguars report card
Times-Union sports columnist Gene Frenette grades the Jaguars against the Atlanta Falcons based on performance, effort and game circumstances.
Offense – D-plus
Except for a 14-point outburst in third quarter, the Jaguars were never in rhythm. The inability of Bortles (23 of 38, 297 yards) and his receivers to connect on third down (0 for 8) proved fatal. There was no running game without T.J. Yeldon. Fumbles by Denard Robinson, though not lost, stalled two drives. Bortles’ interception disaster at the goal line before halftime was a costly 10-point swing.
Defense – C-plus
It was a total up-and-down day.
