Jaguars report card for Monday
Times-Union sports columnist Gene Frenette grades the Jaguars against the San Diego Chargers based on performance, effort and game circumstances.
Offense – C-minus
The regression of Blake Bortles (30 of 49, 329 yards) continued as Jaguars failed three times in the red zone to convert first downs into TDs. Those 12 squandered points came back to bite them. Bortles showed terrible lack of awareness on two third-down, illegal forward pass penalties from SD 7. RB T.J. Yeldon (9 carries, 36 yards) was mysteriously reduced to a minor role despite early success.
