Former Jaguars and University of Florida running back Fred Taylor will be the Gators’ representative on the SEC Legends Class of 2015, which will be recognized during the weekend of the SEC championship game in Atlanta Dec. 5.
The SEC announced the class on Tuesday. The conference selects one past star from each team, with the players honored at the SEC Legends Dinner Dec. 4 at the Hyatt Regency and introduced prior to the championship game the next day in the Georgia Dome.
Taylor played for the Gators from 1994-1997, and as a senior gained 1,292 yards and scored 13 touchdowns.
