Few of the original 10 Jaguars have had a more interesting or controversial post-football life than outside linebacker Hillary Butler, whose career has literally gone to pot.
When collecting a football paycheck ended for him after seven games with his hometown Seattle Seahawks in 1998, Butler entered the music industry as a hip-hop artist/rapper. By 2001, he had his own record label, Headbutt Productions, created his own music and eventually recorded two solo albums — “Different Game, Same Aim” in 2005 and “Going Beast Mode” last year.
However, Butler has also run into obstacles because of his ties to the marijuana industry, now legal in the state of Washington, because of his intent to sell or distribute for recreational/medical purposes.
