For Jaguars' scouting quartet, year-round work will be defined by NFL draft

They have to figure out if the receiver is having a down year or has reached his ceiling.

They have to figure out if the cornerback with the preferred height/weight/speed can play in the Jaguars’ system.

They have to figure out if the physical guard also has the agility to block linebackers beyond the line of scrimmage.

And they have to figure out where to park on campuses in Starkville, Miss., and Lincoln, Neb., Corvallis, Ore., and Syracuse, N.Y., without getting towed.

Welcome to a Scout’s Life. They spend all year trying to find the right player for the Jaguars on Draft Weekend, which starts with Thursday’s first round.
