ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars are in the midst of the latest step in the NFL Draft evaluation process, observing players and positions of need at the annual East-West Shrine Game practices.
One of those clear positions of need is running back and the all-star game features a few talented ball carriers. The cast of characters at the position aren't typecast either, making the prospects all that more intriguing.
If the Jaguars want a backup that offers similar ability to start T.J. Yeldon, they could look at California's Daniel Lasco. If they're interested in replacing Toby Gerhart with a power back that has the ability to be a lead blocker, Marshall's Devon Johnson fits that mold.
