Doug Marrone focused on being Jaguars' line coach, not whirlwind exit from Buffalo

Doug Marrone won’t get worked up about his unorthodox departure from the Buffalo Bills.

Marrone said working for owner Ralph Wilson was “awesome,” and things “absolutely” changed when he died in March 2014.

But the nuts and bolts, the hows and whys, of walking away from an NFL head-coaching job, one of the most prestigious and sought-after posts in American team sports? Marrone sat in his office last Monday morning and chose only to look at the present and his role as the Jaguars’ offensive line coach.

“This has been outstanding, it really has,” he said.
