That synopsizes the Jaguars’ connection with free agent cornerback Josh Norman since he shockingly hit the open market Wednesday and left it two nights later.
During the team’s pre-draft luncheon Friday, general manager Dave Caldwell said he told Norman’s camp he was interested … but that was about it.
At the same time, Norman was visiting the Redskins, and around 8 p.m. Friday, NFL Network reported the sides had agreed to a five-year, $75 million contract ($50 million guaranteed) to make him the league’s highest-paid cornerback.
