Dante Fowler will still get paid in 'good faith' after ACL injury

Jaguars first-round pick Dante Fowler suffered a season-ending ACL injury during the first day of practice, but he'll still get paid.

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie LEO Dante Fowler got injured within one hour of his first NFL practice. While it's not a devastating blow, it sucks. A lot.

But just because Fowler hasn't signed his rookie contract with the Jaguars, that doesn't mean he's going to get shortchanged.

Before rookie mini-camp, Fowler signed a waiver with the Jaguars ensuring that if something absurd happened like getting injured in the first few days of practice, the team would still negotiate in good faith with the player.
