Coordinator Todd Wash discusses Jaguars' revamped defense

The Jaguars’ revamped defense has been on the field for five practices during organized team activities.

There has been no hitting, as the team isn’t in full pads. First-round cornerback Jalen Ramsey is out with a knee injury.

Second-round linebacker Myles Jack can’t participate until June 10 because of academic rules stemming from UCLA being on the quarter system.

Still, impressions have been made. The secondary looks dramatically improved with the addition of free safety Tashaun Gipson, especially to the franchise quarterback.

“I threw a ball yesterday that Gipson picked off,” Blake Bortles said. “He was almost on the other hash and came back and picked it off, which is pretty impressive.
